ACME CRITTERS

Quality reptiles bred with care...

PAST CHAMELEON PROJECTS

I have only worked with Veiled chameleons, but find many of the other species most interesting and tempting!  Below are photos of some of the adults in my past breeding project...each is unique in color, pattern, personality and demeanor...

As of spring 2007, I have decided not to work with Veiled chameleons any longer.  The project was very rewarding and educational, but due to time and space constraints, I have decided to move on to other projects...

This is Saibara, a High Yellow male.

He was acquired from the good folks at Kammerflage Creations in 2005.

Saibara was the first Veiled chameleon to arrive at my house and is responsible for "starting it all"!

This is Clarise, she is a High Yellow Veiled acquired from Tyler at Blue Beast Reptile.
This is Clarise showing her very cool "gravid coloration" after having successfully mated with Saibara.
This is Ralos, a very stunning Sunburst male.
This is Roxie.  She is a Normal Veiled.

This is Tarquin.  He is a Turquoise Veiled chameleon.  He got a rather nasty thermal burn as a juvenile that caused the deformity to the casque on his head and also his upper spine.  He has healed and fully recovered with no adverse affects.  However, be advised that this is what can happen if perching branches are placed too close to basking lamps.

This is Tarize...she is a Turquoise Veiled chameleon...hard to tell from her gravid coloration here though.  Her expression sure seems to say being gravid stinks!
This is a close up of the skin of a male Turquoise Veiled chameleon.  As you can see, there is far less yellow present in the greens of the Turquoise animals.  There seems to be a great range of variability in the "look" of the Turquoise as opposed to the High Yellow animals.
